A lady from Biodiversity in schools gave us a very interesting chat on how everyday things we use are derived from plant and animal material. Can anyone remember what Shellac, silk scarfs, smarties and aspirin are derived from?

Hurling begins next Thursday the 24th. Remember gum shields and PE gear.
We have been making Dioramas for art. Here is one that is in the running for house of the year!
We had a visit from David, an archaeologist, who gave us a talk on The Easter Rising 1916. We learned some interesting facts, from everything about the uniforms used, the guns and other interesting little known facts. Ask the children can they remember anything of interest from that day.
We had a great final day of term when we all dressed up and recited 'The Boneyard Rap'.
